One of the best ways to improve your health and well-being is to use Reiki on yourself. Do it everyday or do it once or twice a week…the more you do it, the more you will become familiar with how energy flows.
You can do Self-Reiki sitting on a chair or lying on a bed. I do Self-Reiki while riding on a subway using just a couple of the hand positions. If you do it while you’re in bed at night, it’s likely that you’ll fall asleep after only a few of the hand positions–and that’s okay. I’ve spent an hour or more with my hands over my lungs or my abdomen when I’ve been sick. Use pillows to prop up your arms as needed. Do what feels right and be intuitively guided in your practice.
Hands over eyes.
Hands over temples.
Hands on back of head.
Hands covering front and back of neck. Or you can have both hands on front. The neck can be sensitive, so do what is comfortable for you.
Hands over the heart chakra.
Hands over upper abdomen.
Hands over the lower abdomen.
Beginning on the backside, hands over the shoulders.
Hands over middle of back.
Hands over the lower back.
Hands over the knees.
One hand on an ankle and the other on the sole of the foot. Then change to the other foot.
